Cecil Tucker uit Canada is op zoek naar informatie over Riekie (Hendrika?) Karrebelt. De vader van Cecil diende in WO II in Nederland en had daar contact met de toen 9-jarige Riekie. Cecil zegt daarover:
"My dad served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII and spent time in the Netherlands. This picture was with some mementos he brought home after the war. There was an untranslated letter with it but unfortunately it disappeared before I could get a copy. The story my father George told was that this girl was about 9 years old and everyday would come to the fence or gate where my dad would give her bread etc. to take home and feed her family. I’m doubtful she’s still alive but the hope continues that someone will recognize the picture and add to the story."
