Dutch Association "Veluwse Geslachten"
The Association "Veluwse Geslachten" (translation: "Families from the Veluwe") was founded in 1975. It now has over 750 members. It's run entirely by volunteers who aim to support research by persons interested in genealogy and family history.
It holds regularly lectures and meetings.
These meetings offer people interested in genealogy an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and information.
The Netherlands are divided in 12 provinces. The Veluwe is the northern part of the province of Gelderland. This part has a rich local history and there is still much to be discovered. Research for ancestors is very important for understanding the history of this area and contributes to general knowledge.
The Association does not execute genealogical research on demand. The towns and villages belonging to the Veluwe are: Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Barneveld, Brummen, Ede, Elburg, Epe, Ermelo, Harderwijk, Hattem, Heerde, Hoevelaken, Nunspeet, Nijkerk, Oldebroek, Putten, Renkum, Rheden, Rozendaal, Scherpenzeel, Voorst and Wageningen.
The VVG membership includes the magazine "Veluwse Geslachten" (only available in Dutch, published 5 times per year). It costs € 45,- a year. You can receive a digital magazine instead for only € 25,-. Our Bank Identifier Code (BIC) is from the "Postbank": PSTBNL21. Our IBAN is NL63PSTB0003566652.
